Springfield-Greene County Public Safety Center

The Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) in Missouri strives to be a national model of best practices in mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery against high-impact events to reduce loss of life, damage to property and harm to the environment.  The project moved the operations from an old, outdated facility in a 100-year-old-plus building to a new purpose-built facility.  The emergency operations inhabit the basement and ground levels while a 911 call center on the second floor is set up for 32 live operators.

Project Details

All rooms exhibit state of the art audio and control systems.  Due to the complexity of each individual room and their ability to link/combine in various ways, the programming was highly unique and spanned several months.

At InfoComm 2013, the project won first place in the Annual Peoples Choice Awards.
