In 1981 Bloomberg started out with one core belief: that bringing transparency to capital markets through access to information could increase capital flows, produce economic growth and jobs, and significantly reduce the cost of doing business.
Bloomberg has built on that foundation and even built an audio system under the same belief. Using programmable DSP along with KTS built middleware in the prestigious 731 Lexington Avenue Headquarters office (informally known as Bloomberg Tower), the audio systems in each office can receive audio announcements and meeting requests from any other Bloomberg office in the world all via the internet. Tight integration of Noise Masking, Ambient Level control, video conferencing and advanced paging capabilities provides the office complex just the right amount of control.
Additional custom middleware was also produced to enhance the features of wall controllers and paging systems. Invisible to typical users, the system has run in this high demand environment with zero downtime for many years.
